The World of Glass Artwork
The world of glass art is rich with tradition and breath-taking in its beauty. The works of such artists like Dale Chihuly have given me so many hours of pleasure over the years. My aim for this site is to highlight some of the more interesting pieces of art in the glass genre and expose readers to up and coming artists.
The video to the left showcases Dale Chihuly's New York City Botanical Gardens exhibition from 2006.

Artist: Dale Chihuly Violet Persian Set with Red Lip Wraps
This piece is currently on display at the University of Kansas' Spencer Museum of Art as part of its European and American art collection. The Violet Persion Set was acquired by Peter T. Bohan in 1990. The Spencer museum is located in Lawrence, KS on the University of Kansas campus.
The museum was started after 7,500 pieces of art were donated to the university by Sallie Casey Thayer. Thayer was an art collector in Kansas city and hoped her donation would "encourage the study of fine arts in the Middle West."
